Peroxidases
Analysis of the Arabidopsis databases indicated that there were some seventy peroxidase (PER) homologues. Progress is shown Table 17 and Table 18. This phase of the study involves (i) cloning of Arabidopsis PER genes and characterization of the corresponding recombinant proteins; (ii) identifying temporal and spatial patterns of expression of the PER promoters when fused to GUS/GFP reporter genes and (iii) analysis of PER gene “knockouts”.
